Hello readers/followers & everyone else!

I know I have been writing about my life, and I wanted to now write about WHY I decided to create a brand without gender labels.

When I was a child I remember shopping at Baby Gap when I was in the 2nd grade and my mom told me to pick out a shirt that I wanted to wear for my school pictures. When I was in the 2nd grade I wasn't thinking of boy or girl labels, so I immediately ran to a olive green, red, and white button-down flannel on the boy's side of the store.

My mom let me pick out my shirt and I wore it in my school photo, and now being 28 years old... I just wish it was more accepted that kids and adults were able to shop without labels. I wear women and men clothing now and of course, I have certain preferences with certain fit/style, but I am never opposed to buying something on the men's side of the store if I really like it. You would be surprised at the people who will not purchase an item even if they truly love it just because it says a certain gender!

I think it is sad to see kids in school who have to wear certain clothes because that's how they are "suppose" to dress. I mean, I think everyone should express themselves how they please. Just because you are a man who wears a pink shirt with slim jeans doesn't mean you are extremely feminine. We tend to dress and act how we are raised, but as I have mentioned before, people are so different in different parts of the world. Sometimes traditions and beliefs we are accustomed to are extremely ridiculous especially when it involves what color of clothing we have on.

After all, I always say, we are all different with different views and are all equal regardless of orientation and gender. I am a Christian but if someone doesn't have the same religious views as me, I still love them regardless of their differences and mine.

Below is the "Be Inspired" Collection. Each item is hand dyed (twice), hand sewn, and one-of-a-kind.

My Life (Part Three)

Alright, so first off thank you for those who are staying tuned in. I have never opened up much on the web in regards to my personal life after high school, and who knows... I might just keep this thing going. For those who are just now reading, I am writing part three of my journey. Please know I am not trying to be grammatically correct, I am writing as if I am writing in my journal.

So like I mentioned in the previous blog, I constantly was on the web strategizing different methods to further my MLM company beginning in 2014. I had awesome experiences with travel throughout the United States and Mexico, and landed the cover of SUCCESS from Home Magazine (generating 40K-60K in volume a month), but something strange occurred...

As the company began to grow more, there were more restrictions on social media marketing. I was unable to continue the branding and marketing without compliance targeting my accounts. I don't question these type of issues, I just simply moved forward in life. I won't lie, this was one of the most emotional moments for me... I am not a big cryer, but never will forget the moment when I was when I received a call telling me to remove all of my pictures and videos. The goals I had set for myself pretty much were just over at that point. Of course I didn't realize why I felt targeted, but I just moved forward and never resigned. It was really hard grasping what was going on and happening, but sometimes you just can't question certain things. I just believe God had a different plan in my life at that time, which led me to Planet Fitness.

Note: I never said this is over in my life, I just said at this moment.

I began personal training at Planet Fitness in Enterprise, AL April 2016 (two years after joining my previous MLM company). I honestly thought I never would be going back into the corporate world, but I guess thats just what the big man upstairs had planned for me at this time. Once I began training in Enterprise, I loved it. The opening month of the club I was the number one trainer in the region and trained over 500 clients the first month. I still had questions in my head like, why I am I here? ... Some of my friends would tell me I was "too good for Planet Fitness" when in reality, I really loved it because nobody cared what you wore. I learned so much about people, different cultures, and even trained the mother of a writer from the show This Is Us. It was very interesting for me but I still didn't know my purpose for being here until clients like these came along...

Shan's doctor recommended her to hire a personal trainer and she came to Planet Fitness the last week I was in Enterprise, AL. When Shan began training with me she was unable to walk without her walker, and her leg strength was tremendously weak. When I transferred to the Dothan, AL location Shan followed me, and began to gain strength throughout her entire body. She was able to begin walking without her walker within a 3 month period.

Not only did I train people like Shan, but I was able to work with the military, athletes, and elderly. One special lady named Miss Norma who is 93 originally from Bloomingdale, IL still calls me on a regular basis and enlightens me on a lot of life lessons. The older I get, the more I realize she is right about almost everything.

When I was at Planet Fitness I never took compensation from one client, I was the number one trainer for the first month I was in Enterprise, AL and I was the number one trainer the last month in Dothan, AL training 525 clients. I hustled, and still was on the web.

I said I would touch on the internet and social media. So I love tech, I really do. I love it so much because it is challenging and its always evolving. I am that person who wakes up and is motivated by technology. *Nerd Status* I work with a group of women (there are about 14 of us) who are all entrepreneurial ladies around the globe who focus on creating apps, furthering legitimate brands, who aren't sitting around scrolling miles on instagram (lol). We are responsible for studying algorithms on the web, and some of the girls have stepped away from Google to pursue their personal goals in life with branding and creating their own apps and have been featured in Forbes. NOW, with that being said...

I have been involved too much on the web where I lost myself. I didn't realize my time was just on social media. I was WASTING time. I didn't know what I truly liked to do outside of the internet. I mean yea, I love fitness, but I physically felt as if I couldn't go to lunch and communicate without my cell phone being my security. I feel we have a lot of kids and adults who are just so consumed online they don't know who they are OFFLINE. The balance between both is a struggle for me personally, but I cannot further myself with creating apparel, and wearable art if I am always on the devices. I think technology is a great benefit to the world, but also it can be your worst enemy with comparison, false news, and just... drama.

BUT, technology is also the future IMO. When you know how to reach millions and hit your target audience you can really have massive success. If you check out some of the youngest, wealthiest entrepreneurs, it all involves technology.

Continued... My Life (Part Two)

This blog is continued from the previous blog in regards to my life and the career / life decisions I have made, leading to where I am now.

Once I resigned from my previous multi-level marketing company, ViSalus (March 2014), I was connected to a wonderful couple (I truly mean this) named Jack and Gloria Vinson from Valdosta, GA. My mother, Lori, connected with them on Facebook. She reached out to Gloria in regards to weight loss supplements, and the couple came to visit us at our home in south Georgia about 2 hours from where they lived. This later led to me promoting my next company...

At this time you have to remember, I had already left my full-time job at FinishLine, and my career with ViSalus, so there was no weekly paychecks coming in. I had to just wing it for a while, and I knew I didn't want to go out and sell products to my friends or host a party (sorry networkers, I just don't really enjoy parties where you have to sell stuff to your friends). So I knew there had to be another alternative for making cash without having to sell it face to face. You know the phrase people say, "you have to have money to make money" well, I didn't have much at this time due to blowing it on everything in the world that involved myself (trips, tattoos and Nike's really add up), but I knew I could afford $9.99 a month which later led me to reaching and building a global team (all people I never have met before), where I marketed myself through 3 different platforms on Instagram. I also had to ship products internationally, work with professional photographers/videographers, invest in top nutritionist for meal planning / training (training was roughly 2 hours a day itself), work with people who didn't speak English (google doesn't translate everything!) Plus... I was responsible for making sure the platforms were working and running properly to keep this thing going and Facebook/Instagram didn't even have auto-translation like it does now!

Now, this a lot of responsibility, not to mention, I really did work at these platforms day in and day out, and I didn't hire anyone. I mean I really had to make sure the translation was done properly, not to mention the coding and everything else us social media nerds know. If I wanted to be able to share my experience with individuals and they actually be able to comprehend the information. I marketed my own body (obviously) and strategically designed a business platform that could and can reach millions, that also, has yet to be seen.

I focused on social media marketing for quite some time, which later led me to landing the cover of SUCCESS from Home Magazine July 2015, and I was featured throughout the entire magazine. I also was able to become affiliated with ambassador programs with 6 Pack Fitness, Quest Nutrition, Arctic Zero, and Halo Top. This has been one of my most successful and excited times of my life, but I am still at the beginning of my career with social media marketing and also, of course, my brand, Only1.

Now, I am not saying all these things to brag on myself or to make you think I am some rockstar, I am just simply sharing my experiences in life. I am someone who does like nice things (I believe we all do to an extent) but I truly just like to eat good food (and good food can be cheap) and have fun, and if I had to choose, I would rather not wear makeup hardly any, and I LOVE TO BE COMFORTABLE! I prefer to not be in a huge group of people for very long, and I do not like to party hard. I don't need 5 cars, I only need 1. I think deeper than just images on Facebook and Instagram, I think more about living in the moment rather than always capturing the moment (believe it or not since I do have over 3000 post on one channel!).

In the next part of my blog I will share why I decided to get involved with Planet Fitness, and what I believe is happening with young individuals with social media and the internet.

Stay tuned, and thanks for reading! *Subscribe if you like!

My Life (Part One)

I apologize in advance if this blog is a bit all over the place or if there are any grammatical errors. I am writing as if I were writing in my journal about my life.

I wanted to take time today to start a blog in regards to my life, the switch of career paths in my life ranging from 7 years of multilevel marketing, management with retail, and of course, the gym industry with personal training / nutrition guidance.

BP Oil Spill (Panama City Beach, FL), Riding on a friends yacht doing absolutely nothing, playing on my Blackberry phone.

When I was 20 years old I moved back to Georgia from Panama City Beach, FL after a year of beach service, parties, and just living life to the fullest not the way I would today. I was on the wrong path in life, and was just lost. The things I was exposed to in the city I had never been around in my life. I was always very athletic in high school, built websites in middle school (learning HTML coding, SEO, and Social Media before fast speed internet even exist), and never have been in trouble with the law (still haven't by the way). And the atmosphere was just very different than my "normal."

When I relocated back to Georgia I didn't know what I was going to do with my life, and plus my hometown only has a population of about 4800 people, so at 20 years old I was severely depressed, sad, and lonely. I thought the idea of college sounded O.K. but after the trauma from abusive relationships, and partying, I wasn't even capable of learning at this point (seriously). I was hospitalized for 35 days (between two different hospitals) before relocating back to Georgia from abuse with alcohol and drugs. The "friends" I chose to surround myself around had endless amounts of cash so we never ran out of anything.

I began training at a local gym in Dothan, AL (Synergy Health & Fitness) where I had my first personal trainer, participated in group fitness that nearly kicked my butt every morning, and I still was just lacking motivation to keep going until my sister came home from college for the summer and joined me with training. I would think to myself, I'm not going to quit training because my sister is going to keep going... & I am not a quitter! Well, it was time for her to go back to college and she was ending her training for the summer. I thought to myself I would just quit also but then I was offered a job part-time working the front desk. I thought to myself, I am not going to be out of shape with all these fit people walking around here. So I started meal prepping, training, busting my butt, and even drove 45 minutes to my workouts that would start at 5:30 AM. I was determined, focused, and now had a drive behind me to be better, look better, and train harder.

Once I began implementing health and fitness with my first multilevel marketing company, ViSalus Sciences, my team and I were nominated as one of the top 5 in the nation for transformations. I strategically built my business from the web. I started my Instagram account when I was with ViSalus when I was in California, where I made my first post. I was able to travel the world with my friends and family, had more money in my bank account than ever, and I found happiness in this, but I never realized what was truly missing... which was my happiness found in Jesus Christ. I didn't tithe, pay it forward, or even really treat people with respect. I thought I had it all, when I really was completely empty.

I began working at FinishLine during the seasonal time of the year just to have access to the hottest, trendiest shoes (those who are sneaker-heads know certain brands only release so many). I only worked maybe once or twice a week, and again, was about to quit the job but then was offered the store manager position. Now, this is unheard of at my age (I was promoted to store manager on my 22nd birthday) while I was still working my ViSalus business, hustlin' the internet, and now had a great salary with benefits under my belt on top of my income from ViSalus. My team and I did awesome at FinishLine, comping my own sales for 2 years (with a sales revenue increase from 1.3 million to 1.5 million, gaining 52K in 3 weeks above sales), but I noticed the web business continuing to expand. We were responsible for fulfilling orders within the store to ship to customers throughout the United States, and I knew it was time to get back more involved on the web, more now than ever before. I was over looked for several promotions within the job because I simply just don't kiss butt. I believe true work ethic should be proven statically from numbers, and not strictly from who you know or what you do for that person. After all, I do live by the phrase "success is earned, not given."

After my team and I made our year (the only store within the entire Panhandle area) on the day it ended, I resigned the following week. I knew that my time was over at FinishLine, but I enjoyed the relationships built within the store, met some very awesome people and learned a lot within the retail world. The same week I resigned from FinishLine, I resigned from my multilevel marketing company ViSalus. I was strictly relying on faith from God to open the next door within my life which led me to my next MLM company.

I will continue Part Two of this blog in the future. Subscribe if you want to stay updated, or continue to watch for updates via Facebook / Instagram.
